🌿 Glemham Hall Open Gardens – In Aid of St Elizabeth Hospice 🌸

Join us for a delightful day exploring the beautiful gardens of Glemham Hall, all in support of St Elizabeth Hospice.

Wander through the enchanting walled rose garden, designed with the timeless elegance of traditional Elizabethan symmetry. At the garden’s far end stands a rare Asian Foxglove tree — historically planted to celebrate the birth of a daughter, later crafted into a beautiful dresser as a wedding gift when she became a bride.

In contrast to the formal rose garden, the herbaceous garden offers a more naturalistic charm, with vibrant wildflowers, lush borders, striking sculptures, and our characterful greenhouse nestled within.

Just beyond the marquee lies the Britten Garden, a recent addition created in honor of Suffolk-born composer Benjamin Britten, commemorating the centenary of his birth with thoughtful design and tranquil beauty.

The gardens open out to broad lawns framed by manicured yew hedges, whimsical topiary, and an avenue of stately Irish yews. Towering cedars and beeches add grandeur to the landscape, all set within a historic 300-acre parkland, home to majestic veteran oaks — some over 600 years old — and many other ancient tree species.

Stroll through historic parkland and formal gardens, enjoy refreshments on the lawn, and soak up the summer atmosphere at one of Suffolk’s most stunning stately homes. A perfect day out for garden lovers, families, and supporters of a wonderful cause.
